Many so called surge protectors are minimally effective. Look at Tripp Lite's guarantee and compare it to others. If you have a shop, don't forget to protect any equipment that has modern (often vulnerable) electrical components.

Probably the bes surge protector around that isn't a battery backup. I say probably because it hasn't had to do it's job yet. I have a six and a four outlet and both were easily mounted and functioning very well.

ISOBAR6 is a very reliable product with a long 6' cord to allow permanent installation several feet from the closest outlet without violating building/electrical codes.
