Saved all our office equipment

This is our second purchase. We took a direct hit from a lightening strike. The tripp lite surge protector saved two computers, a fax machine, and a phone system. We had to replace the tripp lite as the strike ruined the phone ports. That is a small price to pay for saving all the other office equipment and the headaches and time that goes with replacement. Everything that was not attached to a tripp lite ie: credit card terminal, lights, clocks were "fried" .

I shopped around quite a bit before I settled on this unit. I have been very happy with its performance. We've had some pretty ferocious weather here in Oklahoma especially this spring when the Moore tornado barely missed us. There were lots of power surges, and outages, while the utility companies worked to restore the shattered grid. This unit kept my PC and all it's periferials safe and sound. I have been very pleased with this purchase.

Having been in electronics for over 45 years, I know how important it is to keep the lighting serge away from my electronics. I live in Florida and have seen the lighting hit so close there was NO delay between the light flash and the thunder. I have used Tripp Lite for many years (I forgot when the 1st one was purchased) and yes I've had to get one replaced. I don't leave my computer turned on when not in use, and I turn the tripp lite off. The problem I had was that the power switch was turned on and off so many times it, I could hear a repeating spark. This was replaced with no problems!!

During spring and summer we have many power outages. I usually unplug everything when I hear thunder and see lightning. Annoying, especially in the wee hours of the night. When traveling I have to unplug all my devices, just in case. Now I if I forget, (which happens occasionally), I can hopefully rest easy. Product is ease to set up. Plenty of room for all my devices. Solidly built.

I have purchased Tripp Lite products before and have been impressed with the protection provided. My equipment has survived a couple of lighting strikes thanks to prior products, so I have full confidence in this product. I like the lifetime warranty that says a lot about the company and the product. I especially like the space provided on the model for transformer plug.
