I have been through the hassle of battery backup/surge protectors this is a better alternative. Just plug and play, no beeps or warnings about a dead or dying battery just simple protection for my desktop and monitor. Thanks Tripplite.
Has plenty of spaces for the power supply's to plug in most strips hav only enough outlet spacing for corse which are getting scarce in the computer world. Good suppression especially in the shop environment where there is a lot of electrical noise.
Got this for multimedia components - TV, DVD player, set-top box, coaxial antenna, etc. Works great, plenty of room for the wall-warts, nice that it can be mounted vertically on the wall. While I hope I won't need to access customer service, reading all the reviews saying that Tripp Lite's customer service was way better than the competition sealed the deal.
If you do the research you will find how highly rated Tripp-Lite is. Can't beat their protection for the price. Very solid construction and you can always tell if it is working. Worth the cost for sure.
After updating most of the components in my home theater it occurred to me that my surge protector was the oldest piece of kit left, dating back to 2001. I did a bit of research and discovered that most consumer level products don't do anything to let you know when they can't protect your stuff any more. This TrippLite stops passing current when it can no longer insulate the equipment from a power spike, I love it! Thanks TrippLite.
