Nice Unit

We needed to replace 4 smaller devices with one device that would handle everything. I sized everything as best I could, then contacted CDW & Tripp-Lite to discuss. They confirmed that the SMART3000RMXL2U should do the job. We added one 3U Battery to the UPS, and now have a huge window when there's a power outage. Front Display tells me pretty much everything I need to know. May go back and add a NIC at a later date. Only addition that I could ask for would be for the UPS to Auto-Sense the additional Batteries.

I have 7 of these units in our newest location and they are working great! We have the SNMP WEBCARD installed in them all and the web-based management works very well. Java wants you to put the actual ip/url of each device in their "excemption list" in order to approve talking to them but once you get past that, everything else is 5x5.

I've purchased the SmartPro for my own office, plus I've sold my Hospitality Client this same system for all 75 of their hotels. I would recommend the Tripp-Lite UPS systems to anyone looking for uninterrupted power supply.

Great solution for 72U Rack can expand to meet capacity

The UPS is simple to install and connect to our 220VAC. Also have one for our NETAPP with extended Battery PACK. PROS: Expandable to meet higher capacity, CAUTION: there are 3 options to expand 1 only allows one additional battery the other two allow 2x 2u or 2x 3u battery packs. CON: When expanding you need connect laptop to the UPS and do an upgrade for the sensor show new battery capacity.

Unbelievably loud

These are totally unusable for any sound level sensitive applications. I measured the decibel level directly in front of this unit at 86dB, which falls somewhere between a vacuum cleaner and a truck engine! Even working near this thing in a server room would be brutal and probably require earplugs. Buyer beware. I give it two stars only because I'm sure it works fine, but not for my or any other situation that requires quiet operation.

I have no issues with this unit. I bought two of them and they're running perfectly fine. I have yet to install the SNMPWEBCARD in each of them but with the ease of use and simple interface, I'm sure this will go smoothly as well. I opted for TrippLite over APC mostly due to the value provided. APC costs more and does the same job.
