I live in a rural area and have a electric co-op as my utility provider. I have multiple power outages yearly and power surges caused by demand spikes and lightning to ground strikes often. I owned a Tripp-Lite surge protector for 5 years which finally was tripped so many times its internal warning system started to beep constantly telling me its protection was failing due to just plain being worn out from doing its job. Not once in dozens of surge protection activation did my Tripp-Lite fail to save my equipment from damage. Bought another Tripp-Lite surge protector to replace the worn out unit confident it will work just as well, and I was proven correct, as the power surges have continued and my equipment is still undamaged.

For protection and power to my desk computer with printer and monitor. I did not use the Modem/Coax/Ethernet jacks because the cable is not long enough as computer and phone outlets are in separate rooms. I had another company's model but now they do not make them they used to. This model is sturdily made unlike the thin encasing that seem to be the standard produced by other companies. Very pleased with it. Considering getting another for another desk computer and or laptop and a couple of desk lamps.
