Great Range hood for the price had a Braun B58 Costing 6 times more

The CFM of the Braun was 600 cfm not enough need 750 or greater

Great vent hood

I replaced an outdated under-cabinet microwave with a sub-par vent fan with the UC-PS38 hood. I have a small single-story home with an open kitchen/living room. The hallway to my bedroom, office and bath constantly smelled of food when cooking. This vent hood has drastically changed that! The fan is very powerful even on lower power modes, and I love the self-clean mode and easy disassembly to clean the fan cover. For higher heat cooking, I find the fan must be turned to high to properly remove the smells. The noise level is much less than the previous microwave fan, and the unit looks so much more appealing and really opens the space. Challenging ductwork aside (fault of the previous owners), I found installation manageable for two people (of small stature and without use of tools like a cabinet jack or other hydraulic lifts.) I learned that not all 6" round ducting is sized equally, and I did struggle to find one would fit snugly inside the plastic connecting ring to the duct hood. I would recommend bringing that piece to the hardware store to ensure you have a good fit. The instructions were thorough but I also watched several installation videos on youtube to make sure I understood the process completely.

UC-PS38 hood

We have had this hood for a few months. It is very powerful and extracts all cooking odors and smoke immediately. It's self cleaning feature is easy to use and does the job very well. overall performance is excellent. We are very happy with this hood and have recommended to family to replace their existing hoods with this one.

Love this range hood

What I love best is how quiet it is on lower settings. When needed, it draws a fantastic amount of air. It has a simple, easy to clean design. The lights are great. It is a welcome addition to the kitchen.

I haven’t used it very much yet but it seems to be a very well made product. The 6 speed fan is much more than I need I use 3 or 2 speed it very quiet and I love the stainless steel finish.

Trouble start but a quick fix helps

everything goes fine including the ordering and shipping processes; however, after the contractor installed the machine and we tried to use it, the machine just didn't operate. We couldn't find out what went wrong and asked the contractor to check. The contractor unplugged the power and then reconnected it. When we tried again, it worked and has been working well since then. It is just a mystery. Other than this small incident, the machine performs as it is expected.

Very good range hood, with a few design flaws

This is an industrial strength hood. It moves a LOT of air. We have not used it enough to evaluate any grease capturing or cleaning functions. However, there are a few design flaws. Taller people need to be very careful around this hood. The corners are sharp and hard. Hitting your head on this thing hurts. A lot. Also, the lights are not adjustable in the brightness or directional sense. They appear to be focused a but too far towards the back of the range. d
