The Hauslane PS38 exhaust fan is powerful, quiet, and does a great job removing smoke and cooking odors. I also like the sleek design and easy-to-use controls. The self-cleaning feature is a nice bonus and makes maintenance much easier. Overall, it's a great upgrade for any kitchen. I will definitely recommend this product to anyone who’s looking to upgrade their hood fan in their kitchen.

I bought this two years ago and it's still working great! Every time I use the auto clean I can see a lot of oil coming out with the water telling me that my vents are being cleaned thoroughly. I cook a lot of oily and strong smelling food but I don't smell anything even when I'm in the kitchen! Highly recommended!

I bought this 2 months ago and I love how well it works it has different fan levels and I did not need to worry about my smoke detector going off anymore. It also is very easy to unassemble for a quick wipe and has a self-cleaning function.

Excellent range hood

This my second time purchasing the Hauslane UC-PS38 and I am very impressed. The suction power is excellent and does a great job removing smoke, steam, cooking odors, and grease, even during heavier cooking sessions. The perimeter suction design helps capture fumes from both the front and rear burners, which is something many range hoods struggle with. The dual-motor system provides strong airflow, and the multiple fan speeds make it easy to adjust the ventilation as needed.
One of my favorite features is the steam self-cleaning function, which helps reduce grease buildup inside the unit and minimizes maintenance. The stainless-steel design looks modern and sleek, and the LED lighting provides good visibility over the cooktop.
Installation was straightforward, and the overall build quality feels solid. The fan can be somewhat loud on the highest settings, but that's expected given the amount of airflow it produces. Overall, this is a powerful, attractive, and feature-rich range hood that performs well and keeps my kitchen air much cleaner. The Vent Hood That Others Will be Judged Against

For those who do serious cooking, this hood throws some serious air. A bench test revealed, even at its lowest setting, this hood exhausts more air than than an undercabinet microwave at its highest setting, all while being whisper quiet. At medium speed, it is pumping out more air than most major brands at high speed. And at high speed, it is blasting air out its exhaust, only matched by some high-end models; however, this hood is much quieter. This unit is a heavy-duty performer for those who want a quality product that looks great on the outside and impresses on its insides.
Depending on the consumer, there may be one arguable mark against it. For those who want their hood's light with multiple intensity settings, this hood only provides two: on and off.

Bought and self installed this at the beginning of May. Works very well, runs quiet on the lower settings, can finally get a good crust on a steak without setting off our fire alarm. We haven't done much testing of the steam cleaning feature yet. DIY install was a bit of a pain as we skipped building a jig to hold it up (it is very heavy), and the mounting screws are buried deep behind the fan making it difficult to reach without the right tools. If I could go back in time, I probably would have paid extra for professional installation. But the instructions were clear and and all the necessary parts were included.
