This unit will only show military time.

I like the appearance of the unit for the money. Have not had used it yet as we just put it in our new home currently being built; however I will point out the clock is in 24hour format and is very irritating if you dont operate on military time. I called the 800# and spoke w/ a repair tech who is sending out a control panel that apparently will operate the clock on a 12 hour system. Fingers crossed.

I recently received this product and instantly fell in love! It's pretty quiet and does an amazing job with the fan and suctioning out the smoke/smells! Definitely would recommend, Even my friends want to order this!

Absolutely love it (but difficult installation)

I did a *bunch* of research before choosing this and I am so pleased that I did. I love this design, it looks great, works extremely well. I love the features of so many fan speed options, I love the grease guard and self cleaning feature (tho I still have not used that yet) and the lights are just right. Bright but not harsh. I appreciate the customer support as well.
It is a serious piece of machinery and was NOT easy to install, mostly because it's incredibly heavy. (We used a car jack because we didn't have professional cabinet lifts -because who does?- and that was tricky.) I found the directions slightly confusing, and one of the small plastic pieces (the flap) broke, but Hauslane had pretty quick response with tech support suggestions when I reached out, so that was overall pretty good.
TL;DR This is an excellent hood vent from what seems to be an good company.

I recently bought the Hauslane Range Hood 30??PS38, the reason I chose this product over others is its design. For wall mounted range hoods, fans are usually situated in the back and that's why most vents do not collect much from the front. Many times the steam is just escaping out front. Not so with this product as its design collects from all sides.Additionally it has a decent enough throughput at its max setting and if that is too noisy can be reduced in plenty of steps. There were however two light levels advertised, one low and a high setting, yet i got only one to work. Not sure which one it is though. Well, as long as I can see my dinner happily sizzling along, i'm good.
