[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are necessary to charge the laptop, but I wish the area where the cord meets the USB connector were designed better. It's not flexible at that point and the coating separates at the base exposing the wires. Also, they should offer the adapter without the additional 3-prong outlet cord at a lower price. I now have three perfectly good outlet cords for the one adapter. I've had laptops for 23 years and have not had this issue with any other brand or model. On the bright side, the Yoga is still going strong!

Sure, you could buy a non-brand name, adapter, but why would you. Lenovo products for a Lenovo laptop - "keep it in the family" because you know the quality. Would recommend if you want to be able to travel with a spare
