Its easily made my job simple that no longer have to hear excuses in blaming my laptop from the IT side. It easily detects serial connections no hesitation. Fast and easy to setup. Easy for travel . Light. Black and red appearance.

Did not work with my P1 Gen 7 laptop. Using it for broadcast work that requires multiple monitor outputs using broadcast converters. Once the converters were in place the monitor signal did not pass through.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good: Lots of ports. The power and thunderbolt connector separate so it works with non-ThinkPad computers. Does it's job well.
The Bad: The power connector comes with a rubber ring around the metal which prevents it from being inserted enough to power the computer. It must be cut off before it can be used. The thunderbolt cable is also really short.

My only concern is that there are several docks with more features for the same or less money. However, I don't know how well they work. This dock does what it says it will do so to that extent, I am very happy with it.
