I was using an extender and it worked well for my dead zones, but the AiMesh took it to another level. I had to reconnect SSIDs as I moved between three levels with the extenders, AiMesh does it seamlessly, and I only need one SSID.

I would lose internet in my detached garage. I connected 1 ZenWifi to my Comcast modem and the other went to the garage and now I am getting Crazy download speeds everywhere!

Time to replace an older non ASUS wifi router. Looked as several routers and this model was perfect. Great user interface for new or seasoned users. Set up was super easy via the App. Super easy to connect router to node via ethernet if you care to use a wired option.

Awesome little mesh system. I didn’t expect any less from ASUS. I live in a 2,000 square foot home and this system covers my whole home perfectly. I paired them through a wireless backhaul and I haven’t lost any connection. I initially paired them through Ethernet cable just for the setup then I place the node in its final location where it paired with the main router wirelessly. This takes advantage of my full internet speed provided by my internet provider. So happy I went with this mesh system and I highly recommend. Was easy to set up through ASUS App and I set mine up by splitting up the 3 networks, 2.4ghz, 5ghz and 6ghz.

Very simple setup with a wired backhaul. Did it while my son took his work from home lunch break. Wifi is solid throughout the house. Wired connections also solid.

I bought this to replace an older CT8 setup that I had used for a few years after one of the nodes bricked. I ended up returning this unit because the 5Ghz radio was not working and no devices would connect to it.

Dear Citizen2025, Thank you for your comment. We do understand your disappointment with this Zen WiFi and the inconvenience this may have caused if you cannot connect devices to the 5GHz bandwirdth. To resolve this, ensure you configured the devices correctly and update the firmware on the ZenWiFi if running with an older version. The most current firmware is posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/whole-home-mesh-wifi-system/zenwifi-wifi-systems/asus-zenwifi-et8/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=ASUS-ZenWiFi-ET8. For helpful tips on how to configure the ZenWiFi properly, visit our Product Support page at: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/ZenWiFi_ET8/E23656_ZenWiFi_ET8_V2_one-page_1PK_QSG_v2_WEB.pdf?model=ZenWiFi%20ET8. Additionally, check if the PC or device connecting to the routers are within range to the router, the routers are within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Typically, we recommend to place the routers in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
