Almost purchased a laptop by MSI and I am now glad I did not. This ASUS laptop is screaming fast with the Intel i9 processor and 16 mb of RAM. Although I wish it had an optical drive or at least an SD card slot, I am pleased with the number of ports allowing me to purchase external USB devices to serve this purpose. The Wifi speed test shows it is running 4 times faster than my old HP laptop.

My very first computer build many years ago was using an ASUS motherboard. ASUS set the standard way back then and has continued through today. This computer is very impressive. It has the feel of a solid product. I like the MyASUS application which monitors the computer with system diagnosis and updates. The computer was easy to unbox, charge and setup. The setup prompts were simple and logical. Somehow it feels like going home to a place you can trust. I look forward to many years with the Vivobook 17X.
