There's equal matte grain/dirty screen effect as on a TN or heavy coating IPS matte screen side by side, using a semi glossy outer layer wrapped on top of it. Literally no point of getting this monitor over a good OLED matte screen to avoid all reflections (you already get the worst part of matte here, but still have diffused reflections), a failed middle ground attempt and one of its kind on the market. If you want true glossy Woled, just wait for the ASUS XG27AQWMG in a month or two that should be a big improvement across the board using brand new big leap in tech for probably around same price, minus black friday deals.
Text is fine outside of yellow, use windows scaling to fix all fringing if it bothers you or mactype font. The next gen tandem RGB Woled's improve this a bunch that will be available in a month or two.
Bad shadow detail and black crush in any SRGB color mode, and still present some with wide gamut... this is far more noticeable on OLED's. You can get around this by forcing 10 bit color on always in video card control panels where you change resolution, this will auto turn on ACM (automatic color management) in Windows 11, which clamps the color to SRGB while using wide gamut color in monitor OSD. If you don't care if Youtube faces have ridiculous red tans and wrong colors, then can always use wide gamut everywhere lol.
Usual bad banding lines and streak patterns on full grey BG's that every Woled monitor has, a non issue unless sensitive to it and won't appear on anything outside of full screen grey, improves after a few pixel refresh runs/over time.
Poor monitor settings polish/refinement. Vivid Pixel (sharpness) jumps in 10 steps, and going from default 50 to 60 is already a massive increase, anything past that is ridiculous level of edge haloing, should've been much finer steppings. Bugs in firmware; using the 2 favorites presets you can save won't apply your gamma and custom color settings when swapping to it, until you change a single digit value in RGB that instantly applies your profile properly after.
10/10 stand, unless you hate the chin logo, best I've ever used in 20 years. BFI can only be used in 120hz mode, uniform brightness isn't uniform (still bad ABL on white fields and pointless gimmick setting mostly).
If you're on a tight budget, then this is the best 1440p Woled here to buy at a very good xmas sale price. Mostly minor nitpickings unless sensitive to the issues listed or not what you expected (fake glossy).
Beautiful picture but I didn’t turn it on for Month and there was a line and a bright white pixel stuck ! The pixel clean got rid of line but stuck with a stuck pixel!
Worst screen I bought, I have burn in images after 2 week going to exchange it tomorrow the screen has been of for 6 days because im working overtime and the I bought it the 28 january 2025 the screen oled time tracker is at 270 hours there is something wrong with this screen its like it never was off even with the power indicator at off
Bad design, burn in of all my desktop icon like crazy and saw Nvidia G sync hdmi when the screen open up its burn in on the right bottom and I see graywhite light bar every 2 inch on the screen when on greyblack background.
