The humidifier itself seems to work ok. But the humidity sensor starts giving bogus values every 3rd night or so. The result is that it shuts off prematurely in smart mode, so we have to use it in manual mode. Kind of defeats the purpose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let's see how we can help! The hygrometer provides more of an estimated humidity reading, which will fluctuate. The unit has an internal sensor; for a more accurate reading, please allow the base to completely air dry and ensure the nozzle is pointed away from the sensor (located on the left side of the unit). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was very easy to setup the Levoit Classic 300S Smart humidifier. The app is very intuitive to use and I love that I can set it to work on schedule with different mist levels. It also has a tiny built-in night light and a place to use your aromatherapy essential oils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very quite and lots of mist. I enjoy the added aroma infusion. I love the fact you can control from your smartphone. Tank capacity is amazing can go all day without refil depending on setting. The night light feature is great and love the digital display.

I bought this to replace a hard to clean Honeywell and it's fabulous. Quiet, easy to set up, and exactly what I needed to keep the house comfortable without window condensation like my old unit. Love it.

I bought this last week and received it on Wednesday. I can't get it to mist. I'm tells me it's out of water. So not happy with this, dare I say piece of crap!
