Great tool, but not for really small spaces

I bought this tool because I ran into an issue while building custom built in's in my mudroom. I couldn't get my drill into a handful of small spaces to finish driving pocket hole screws. I bought this tool to complete the task. However, due to the length of the chuck and housing at the top, I struggled in getting the screws in place (some of them would not go all the way in). Otherwise, though, this is a solid tool.

excellant tool easy to use

I needed a drill that was easy to handle on small parts that are hand held this tool did the trick,plus its fits the hand great.

Excellent Right-Angle Drill

Compared to right angle drills from other manufacturers, the DeWalt unit is far superior to its competitors in weight, torque, as well as features such as a standard 3/8 chuck. The drills from other manufacturers use a shallow, hex drive that will not secure a drill bit which limits accuracy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very well designed with ergonomics in mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this as a gift, thought at the time that I'd get limited, special situations use out of the drill. Surprisingly, it's a good substitute for the 'regular' drill in most any job need, especially smaller ones. Good power, easy on battery power, very balanced, even with larger battery.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good drill for light duty

20V MAX* LITHIUM ION 3/8" RIGHT ANGLE DRILL/DRIVER KIT (1.5 AH) is a nice right angle drill for close quarters drilling. However it is under powered to use as a plumbing water pipe bit drill ( 1 1/4 inch ) I really like the drill, but I'm going to kill it drilling holes for plumbing water pipe. What I would like to see is a 1/2 chuck version of this drill, two speeds, about the same size, and more power. Might be able to use the same motor geared lower with a 1/2 chuck. I don't think a clutch is necessary. Does Dewalt make a 20VMAX drill like this?

Very weak

This is the first Dewalt power tool I’ve had trouble with. After a couple hours of use the trigger was giving me trouble and it wouldn’t do anything with the trigger pulled. I switched batteries and still it didn’t want to work. Today it was working fine but then started smoking. Maybe I got a lemon but I’m definitely not happy with its performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
