Great MB. This is my 10th build & the MB looks great in my NZXT H6 case. I've used ASUS MB's before in several builds. Never had problems. Only wish they would have a white cable option.

I've been building rigs for 20 years and I've tried every brand and combination of brands just to break the monotony of seeing the same i\o placements and BIOS configs time and time again.
After wasting time (and money) I always come back to ASUS. The ROG strix gaming - e is my choice if I don't have the money for the maximus.
I have an all white build so seeing the maximus apex came in all white was a perfect excuse to spend my kids birthday money on upgrading my board...I need the white one dang it!! The black won't match!

Over clocking - 5 (depends on how advanced you wanna get. I just whip on xmp 2, tweak my ram to 7400, slap up the timings a touch, and make sure my voltages are set to 1.4 max. Always boots up first try for over a decade.

This is the ONLY mb on the market that allows for two big GPUs and additional PCIe cards. The problem is that every other board has additional PCIe slots below the GPU slots, meaning that a fat GPU will block the slot. This board let me use two GPUs and still utilize the additional slots for even more USB ports.
