First, Hauslane has excellent customer service. Speedy replies and beyond helpful.
This fan fits the bill. Sleek look, three multi-speeds, so I can still hear the TV! Bright crisp white lights so I can see and powerful suction to clear the air when I burn dinner! Just what I was looking for.
Easy to install so hubby was happy.
I would buy this again in a heartbeat!

really nice range hood. we love that it's got great suction power and it also looks really nice in our kitchen. Customer service has been amazing as well, and they've been able to quickly address some lighting issues we were having. Would highly recommend!

Great product for the price

I love the suction and the 2 fans used to evacuate the cooking odors. It seems to be pretty well built and well designed. It came well packaged with 1 1/2" foam panels around the unit inside the box.Some negatives are that the lights a very dim, that is to say that they only useful as a night light! According to the manufacturer they cannot be upgraded. That is a significant issue but not enough for me to find another range hood because of the price and strong fans. Second is that there are no instructions on the install (but I'm pretty experienced at doing remodels). Thirdly is ability to attach the unit to the cabinet, the rear keyhole slot are very difficult to get at if your hands are large. I like to pencil outline the keyholes and then remove the fan and drill my holes (I used four #10 x 2" machine screws with washers & lock nuts for a secure attachment). Fourthly, the metal is a faux finish to look like stainless steel. Magnets would stick to real stainless steel but it will stick to this one. To install I used a 1x4 "T" brace to hold the unit in place so my hands would be free. I use this same jig for hanging kitchen cabinets.The power of the fans and the price beat anything else I was finding. So much so that I bought a second one 2 weeks later. Both are being used in my rentals.

The range hood works very well, and is very quiet for the amount of air it moves. My only complaint is the lights. They are much too dim to really do anything at all.

Nice hood, terrible install experience

This is a quality product for the price; relatively quiet, good air movement. The install design is dreadful. The mounting holes are not reachable from under the unit to tighten the screws; the space is too tight to even get your hand inside. The screws provided are soft and strip easily. We had to remove several times and replace the screws with decent cabinet screws. They could have provided a simple mounting template in order to pre-place the screws, that would have solved everything. My old Braun didn't last 5 years, but at least it went in easily.

Nice kitchen up-grade

I would give it a 4.5, if I could. It is very nice looking, sturdy, no missing or damaged parts, and the price was decent. The lighting is rather low, and the installation was just a tad hard (watching my husbands reactions, ha)
