My first smart watch

It is very light than my stainless metal watch and is more comfortable.
Very easy to read time and looks attractive the all black lcd panel.
Every morning, it gives report on your sleep hours and quality.
It was able to tell I climb 2 floors when in office.
A single charge last 28 days (smart watch mode) but less if tracking activities like biking/running, etc.
Should buy a smartwatch if you haven't done so yet.

Fails at Basic Tasks

-great battery life
-easy to use
-easy to use
Cons
-GPS takes FOREVER to connect and even then it’s inaccurate (sometimes off by 1km+)
-Heart rate feature fails occasionally. I will finish a hard run and the Instinct 2 says my average heart rate was…76
-Bluetooth connection to my iPhone is extremely unstable and often fails to synch

Overal it’s a watch with the features of a $99 step tracker but with a much steeper price tag

Garmin Instinct 2- great value!

I received my Garmin Instinct 2 watch on November 20, 2023. The set-up of the watch was straight forward, it quickly paired with my iPhone. Then the watch prompted me to download and install software updates. All actions proceeded without a hitch. At a glance the watch provides a lot of useful information. I appreciate the look and sturdy build quality of the watch. I gave the watch a full charge on November 20th and today on December 4th the watch is showing 17 days of battery life remaining. Outstanding! Going forward I will be a Garmin watch owner.

Good watch, not as rugged as I thought

Bought this watch as a running training watch, and was intrigued by all the health features. I wore the watch 24h/7d as I was curious.
I ran a half-marathon with it yesterday using the Pace Pro, and it was really helpful!
Overall it is a good running watch, but the problem I have is it has a big scratch on the glass. I don't remember scratching/hitting the watch on anything... I thought the watch was a rugged product (by the look of it, and how it is advertised) but I was mistaken.

Expected more

I like all the features on the Instinct 2 but miss some of the features the FitBit has. The Instinct 2 calculates your night’s sleep but not if you take a nap. So if you’ve had a restless night’s sleep but napped during the day, it won’t recognize the additional rest you had and include it in the metrics as catching up. Also, I’m a bodybuilder and after a workout it’s telling me that I need 72 hours recuperation before being in the gym again. This would never work on a bodybuilding routine. So you could only train one body part every 72 hours. I’m returning the watch.

Garmin Instinct 2 GPS Watch

So far so good. However, I have utilized it just twice in 2 the weeks I have owned it. The only negative thus far is that I have discovered this Smart Watch is proving to be Smarter than I am. Lots to learn indeed. Looking forward to master the Garmin's many functions, so that one can enjoy the many Features without worrying about making operational mistakes. My Cell phone is only Talk & Text (NO DATA). Therefore, I rely on the Garmin Connect application to communicate with my Windows 11 PC for viewing the Activities stored in the Garmin Instinct 2 Watch. I am happy to confirm this Garmin Watch works well with my Windows 11 PC, without the need to connect to a Smart Phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Metrics with no mapping

I love this watch, it has all the metrics of the more expensive options just no mapping but I use another device with a bigger screen for mapping.
