versatile watch

Bought this watch primarily for tracking HR while mtn bike riding. I have had lots of trouble with the HR straps over the years. Garmin actually comped me a HRM-Pro Plus strap and that has worked well so far. The watch misses some peak HR efforts at times which is expected with wrist-based measurements. Otherwise very close stats to my Edge 830. I like the sleep tracking info. The workout suggestions are good and are based on my HRV and previous intensity minutes. The watch syncs with my trainer and controls the resistance/watts based on the prescribed workout. Nice long battery life and you don't have to press any buttons to see the watch face. Garmin customer service has been very good to me over the years.

Fun device but could be more accurate

I received this as a gift and have really enjoyed it so far. I just wish it was a little more accurate in terms of things like steps counted.

My Favorite Watch!!!

I have used the Apple & Suunto watches for hiking. And the Garmin Instinct 2 is by far my favorite. It stays charged for approximately 30 days. Super easy to use & has just the right features. I use this along with my Garmin Inreach Mini while in the backcountry.

Rugged watch, smartwatch capabilities

This watch looks great, gotten more compliments on it than some of my more expensive watches and then I tell them it’s a smart watch. Great sleep tracking features, and activity tracking. Being an athlete these functions were very important to me and exceeded my expectations. Definitely will be adding more garmins to my collection.

Amazing watch

I got this watch for Christmas and have loved it! I use it to track runs I do with my dog team and hikes in the mountains. Helps me not only know how to improve my own physical abilities but share my beta of new places I jump or fly from with friends!

Can’t understand operation - Oura ring has more comprehensible and better info in the cell phone app - and I can’t easily find a support number where someone might explain things to a dumb old man like myself. Hope this helps Garmin step up a little.
