This watch is too hard to program

Too hard to program and I’ve gone through the help manuals and online help and YouTube videos and they aren’t helpful. Do you have live support?

Bought i instinct 2 , sucks got app for maps , keep loosing connection to maps i paid , very disappointed

Amazing Battery Life & Great Visibility

I have had a lot of Garmins including the Instinct, Venu 2, Indtinct 2, 955 Solar and Fenix. This blows all of them away. I have never wrote a review for any of the Garmin watches so this is my first. It is a Fenix 7x on steroids. It has a 34 day battery life. I took this off the charger over 12 hours ago and it just now went down 98 percent and that was after a gps activity. It is lighter than the Fenix 7x if you use the included nylon band. You also get an extra silicone band in the box and the flashlight is probably twice as bright as the Fenix 7x. For only $100 more than the Fenix 7x you get a brighter flashlight, 6 more days of battery life and an extra nylon band. It’s a no brainer. I can’t even feel it on my wrist while using the nylon band. Since the screen is 51mm I can see the data without squinting like on the Instinct series.

Doesn't work for tracking Treadmill Walking

Overall I'm happy with the Instinct 2. I really like the looks and ruggedness of the watch as well as all the info that I can constantly have displayed including up-to-the-moment heart rate. My main frustration is that it won't track walking on a treadmill. From doing a search on the internet it seems that many people have this issue with Garmin's watches. Walking on a treadmill is my main type of exercise and I really wish it would work. I've tried using the "Walk" activity but that won't count distance because it is basing it on GPS apparently. So I made an activity by duplicating the Walking activity with GPS off but this counts only about a tenth of the distance that I walk on the treadmill (the same when I test it by walking outside with GPS off, though it counts my steps correctly) and the other 9/10's as stopped. So I tried the 'Treadmill Running' activity but it count's 90 percent of the time that I'm walking (with hands swinging naturally at my sides of course and not holding the handholds) as "Idle" even though I'm walking at 3 miles an hour. Thankfully walking outside with the normal "Walking" activity with GPS on is very accurate but in the winter I'm not able to walk outside everyday. I've even manually entered my walking stride into the app in case that made a difference but it didn't. Again, overall it's a good watch, however, being that I mainly walk on a treadmill it's not as ideal as I'd hoped.

First time ever owning a smart. I've always owned Gshocks. Well I made the switch and I'm glad I did, great watch will all I need. Great battery life (28 days) that's without GPS mode on. Very happy with this watch

Great Watch for the Money

I bought this about a month ago and have loved it, the overall build quality is great and I have found it really easy to use. My only overall problem with it is I wish it had more storage. Other than that its a great watch

Great Watch!

This is the second Instinct I’ve owned. With that said I am not sure if it is worth the price increase over the original. The true battery life that I am getting is actually 17-19 days vs the published 28 days. The lack of color maps and music is kind of a bummer, but the durability is amazing. I’m an avid MTB rider and outdoors person so this watch meets the basic needs. If I could afford a fenix 7 or commander I would have one of those over this one in a heart beat, but the Instinct is my go to with a moderate budget.
