Great watch, long battery

As a disclaimer, I'm not using it to it's full potential. I don't need the email and messages alert, so I keep the Bluetooth off. The heart rate monitor, and the solar function are the main reasons I bought it. It will last full over two weeks in this mode. I'm outside a lot, so the solar charging extends it's run time as well. After a few years of sweat and abuse, the band broke at one of the holes for the tightening arm. Easily replaced. I travel a lot, so I just connect it briefly to my phone to get the tine updated. No fiddly button presses to adjust it to the tine zone.

Instinct 2 changed my life!

I purchased the Instinct 2 to pace myself on my annual pac test for wildland season. I was looking through the features and found the Garmin coach in the app. Using this inspired me to train for a 5k race and I've since signed up for many more races. This watch is verry durable and verry useful from beginners to experts.

Phenomenal Longevity

Bought this before a deployment so I wouldn't break my *unnamed-sounds-like-capple* watch.
The battery life makes you almost forget to pack your charging cable (don't do that). My best was 13 days without a charge, about 7 when I was logging workouts and runs consistently.
I wasn't careful with this bad boy either, constantly got wet, 120+ degree heat, smashed in door frames, etc. Still works like day one 4 years later.
Only downside is the face size. I didn't realize there's a smaller version available at the time I bought it, personal preference.
This is now my back up for the other Garmin I bought to rid me of the *capple* lifestyle.

Solid option

Switched from Apple Watch to this. So much lighter, better battery life, and the functionality is tailored to an outdoor lifestyle. It is more durable, and overall a stronger product in my opinion. Happy with my decision to switch. Eager to see how it performs over time. I USE my gear. I do not baby it. I will definitely put this watch through the wringer and report back. So far, so good. Awesome piece for the money!

As someone who dislikes clunky smart watches, I gave Garmin Instinct a chance.
The Instinct works great in my hiking trails and gym sessions. The battery last incredibly long, and it not gaudy like other smart watches.
The IPhone App works well to track my activity progress.
My only issue is plugins in the smart watch to get updates. However, it a minor inconvenience.
Garmin got a life long customer thanks to this watch.

Best Garmin watch for the price!

After doing a good bit of research within my price range, this is the Garmin watch I landed on. I am an avid outdoorsman and the ruggedness and durability of this watch was super intriguing. While it is rugged and simple on the outside, it has everything you need technology wise and will no doubt make training and monitoring your daily health a breeze. I highly recommend this watch for anyone who is looking for a rugged, durable and reliable watch at a reasonable price!
