I had the instinct 1 and loved it. (Avoid saunas with these) Just got the instinct 2 and it is fantastic. More features and super rugged.

Good features, short learning curve

The watch has done everything that was promised. I'm not sure that I understand body battery yet, but in time and with a few Google searches, I should figure it out. I tested the "breadcrumbs" option on a simple walk around my neighborhood and it worked well, I was impressed by the accuracy of the return. I hope it works as well in the wild! I believe that distances and walking speeds are accurate. Battery life is infinitely better than Apple watches. Charging is straight forward. Plenty of activity options. Sleep and weather features appear to be accurate. I hope that I am saying the same things about the watch a year from now!

My instinct 2 was a Christmas gift. It takes a while to discover and prioritize all of the features. Glances can be useful after you’ve chosen what you want to look at. Also selecting relevant activities cuts down on some confusion and clutter.

I wasn't sure what to think, because I'm very simple when it comes to wearing a watch. Once the item was given to me, the one thing was that it was easy to set up, which was great. I like the color, the instruments were clear. I'm very pleased with the Garmin watch.
