Perfect Combo Watch & Fitness Tracker

Picked this up about a month ago to replace a Fitbit Charge 4. While there are certainly differences between the two ecosystems, Garmin's Connect app is far superior and more focused on fitness, training, and all-around health. I was worried that the learning curve would be steep, but frankly it was fine and while importing my previous health data from Fitbit was not a simple procedure, I did get it imported and preserved my nearly two-year-long 10,000 steps/day streak, which I continue to maintain.

Fully Loaded Rugged Simplicity

I love this watch, which is my first Garmin or smartwatch. It is rugged and simple with all the features needed as an all-rounder athlete. Used to track strength training sessions (not reps or moves) just time and biometrics, indoor biking, trail running, kayaking, xc skiing, HIIT, hiking, MTB, and other activities. Intensity Minutes feature keeps me motivated. The Instinct is very easy to configure and the Connect app is spectacular. Looks great, apparent, yet subtle. The black and white non-touch screen is a bonus because it helps keep my use objective vs addictive (like phones) and it doesn't draw my toddler's interest. Battery life has been 7-10 days with daily 24-hour use w/ HR monitoring on. I use the Instinct Mission watch face from Titatnic Turtle. Overall Instinct Score 5/5 as it's exactly as marketed and what I hoped it would be.

What's Not to Like

I really do love this watch. No matter what I'm doing, hiking, biking, fishing, digging up broken irrigation systems or ??? it's on my wrist. It can get caked with mud and I just scrub it off on the sink and it looks and works as good as the day I got it.
I don't miss the touch screen AT ALL. In fact, now that I'm familiar with the button functions I like it better than the touch screen I had on my Vivo Active HR.

Best watch ever

This was is perfect. Long lasting battery very accurate step tracking, other watches tracked too many steps while I was driving. It’s very comfortable and it’s really durable.

Best investment in a watch!

This is an outstanding watch. It's more like a tool. I can monitor anything I want to do around work, in the field, or taking a bike ride. It also will send a text to my family if there is an emergency. I have several watches and all of them are great watches. But, the functions this has allows me to be better prepared. So far the 28 day charge stands true. I have to mark the date so I won't forget to charge the watch. That's agood thing.

Data not accurate. Keeps alarming pulse to high when it's not!!!!! O2 reads low when it's not!!!!

Packed with value, and it's Garmin golf compatible

I bought it on sale, and I couldn't be happier. As a former Galaxy watch, and Fitbit owner, I truly love the batter life. Normally, it will drain about 7 or 9 percent per day (that includes one 30 daily jog). Fortunately, if you top off the battery during your shower routine, it will always remain in the 90s. On top of that I find the smart notification features, and accuracy of activities to be great. Only sacrifices that you're making is lack of a color touch screen, and screen size. For example, some of the notifications take a bit to scroll through. However, at this price point, this is just a nit pick. Lastly, as a golfer I love the fact that you can use the watch on the course. Hint, hint, it's Garmin golf compatible.
