It supports a new windows connected standby sleep state, and not the traditional ACPI sleep states. This means until other operating systems add in support for this, they will not be able to put this device to sleep properly. This seems useless even under windows, when the computer is asleep in my bag, I'm not going to hear it getting an e-mail open it and check my e-mail, so this is really just a waste of battery power while asleep.

Also, there is no ability to limit battery charging to maximum percentage when plugged in for extended periods. Limiting charge to 80% for example would allow the battery to remain in better condition longer over the device lifetime.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the features of the laptop, but it refuses to connect to wi-fi after coming out of Sleep mode. Sometimes it won't find any networks, or will find the networks but not be able to connect to them. I have to do a restart every time and can't simply put the laptop to sleep. Very annoying for a brand-new laptop.

I am still figuring things out, but so far it's comparable to my old Toshiba. Mainly I need to figure out how to transfer my iTunes, Word docs, & photos/videos. It is much lighter than I expected and I like the gray-blue color. More importantly I am thrilled with how long the battery lasts and the screen quality and the backlit keyboard. I am a choreographer and so often taking notes in the dark during a rehearsal run of a show.

I have had laptop for about a month and really like ever thing about it. The first thing you notice is that it feels very sturdy, but light. I got to choose the color and most features, the laptop is very fast and looks great. The only feature that I wanted and wasn't offered was a backlit keyboard. Overall, I'm very happy with this laptop and highly recommend it.
