I'm loving my HP Pavilion 15 Laptop. I use it primarily as a desktop than can travel so I haven't used the built in keyboard or monitor much. During setup, I did notice that the display was quite sharp. The machine came with Windows 11 which so far I am quite impressed with. The computers I use for music creation are running Windows 10 and I am concerned about some of my DAW and interface drivers running on 11. This machine maybe a good testing platform for that. There are only a couple of issues that I will work around with the PC as shipped. I'll need to have an USB hub for it as to run most audio interfaces and keyboard instruments into it I will require more than the three provided. Easily done. The lack of a built in DVD burner is something to be aware of and I already purchased an external one with the machine when I ordered it. Finally, I was actually unaware that it doesn't have a built in Ethernet jack for direct connection. I have a fairly strong 5G wi-fi signal and my internet speed seems adequate. This might be a concern for some users, however. Over all, I think it is a great value. There are somethings, that if concern to you, would be best to weigh against other models or address through a customized order. That in mind, I still feel I got a great value on a machine that should serve all my purposes.
The employee who I spoke with was very helpful and very patient. I worked with computers for 30 years but the technology has long passed me. It's going to take a lot of learning on my part. My only negative point is how long it took to receive the laptop. I know that was Fedex problem not HP.
