[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Ideapad is fast, powerful and has just the right ports for my needs (HDMI and 2 USB-C). I wanted a machine powerful enough to do and with a large display, so I could edit my photos with Adobe Lightroom (a resource-intensive app). I got this laptop with 16GB of memory and 1TB storage, and so it has plenty of power for that work.
The only significant issue I have with it is the jam-packed keyboard, because it includes a numeric keypad on the right. That's why the trackpad is towards the left of center, because *that* it centers on the "normal" keyboard. You should look at carefully at the laptop photos and decide if that works for you, because when you use this keyboard, your hands will always be pulled to the left as you're typing. I wish I'd been observant enough before I bought it, as I don't normally use a numeric keyboard.
Also, in the 3 weeks I've had this laptop, I've seen short-term drop-offs in wi-fi at random times, but that seems to have stabilized. I don't believe it's my home network, but more a problem with a secondary wi-fi connector I added via USB.
