Cuts Like Butter Isn't Just A Cliche

5 stars, hands down my favorite knife in the drawer. This ZWILLING Four Star 8" is ridiculously sharp out of the box and actually stays that way, the balance is perfect and that molded handle is way more comfortable than my old riveted ones for long prep. Made in Germany, full bolster, feels super solid but not heavy. Cuts through everything from butternut squash to a big rib roast like butter. You can tell why this line has been around for 40 years.

this knife is smooth no meat, no fish nothing this knife can not tackle. I am so happy with this purchase the edge and balance of this knife with the sharpness is the perfect balance

I have been thoroughly impressed by this knife. It is by far the sharpest one I own and since buying it in February (it is now October), the blade has retained is sharpness.

I have owned my 8inch 4star chef knife since 2001 it gets daily use and is well maintained. It takes and edge and keeps an edge very well.

Love the chef's knife

Love using the chef's knife. It's sharp and makes cutting vegetables easy. The handle is very easy to hold and tha balance of the knife is great. It is very comfortable to use and I reach for this knife for everything.
