Bought this March 26, 2021. Lasted 2 months. In May, I smelled a strong burning smell from the UPS. Logged in and did a self test using the software. I immediately noted sparks and smoke eminating from the grill on top. I was afraid that a fire may occur so I shut it down. Contacted Best Buy. Got a return athorization label. Got a full refund within a week. My son-in-law also had the same issue with the same model. There must be a defect with these units. APC used to be reliable with a well known reputation. Its now gone sour for me. I will not buy an APC again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unit started burning

Upon first power outage (seven month after purchase), unit started producing a burning electrical smell and beeping. I unplugged it and removed it from my home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
