UPS is a good value for its size and for short (depending on the load) periods of power loss, it is a reliable backup/surge protector for my computer, and other electronic devices at home. I presently own three of the UPS 650's, one of which replaced my 550 in 2019. The original three units, except for the replacement were purchased in 2008 and 2009.

Purchased a Back-UPS 650 to replace an APC backup with an expired battery. I'd replaced the battery in that unit once. I decided to go with the trade-in option, which was a little more costly than just replacing the battery. I'm very happy with my purchase as it was easy to install and works seamlessly with my Mac OS system. The return procedure for the trade-in unit was easy, too.
