The chair comes boxed with five parts: a five wheeled base and rollers an adjustable height shaft a seat a back and two adjustable arm rests. An instruction pamphlet is included. Assembly is done using a dozen bolts and a supplied Allen wrench. No other tool is needed. For a dunce like me an hour is sufficient to achieve full assembly; some one more mechanically inclined might find a half hour generous time. The chair has a solid feel to it.
