Shallow seated I wouldn't think this would be comfortable for a man. A little wobbly and not too sturdy. It will be interesting to see how it holds up with daily use. It does raise and lower which I needed.

Brandon recommended this and it's a great chair for my wife who is tiny. Not that her size matters but she is. It does all of the chair things that a chair should do including but not limited to: being a thing you sit on having wheels to roll with swiveling nicely cushion for your parts that need cushioning rests for your arms a lever to go up and down when you are bored. It's a good chair.
