To help me more comfortably look through my microscope I wanted a chair with the highest seat distance from the ground. Most at Staples (or other stores for that matter) where similar to what I already had but two - this and another - were a bit higher. I chose this one because its retail price was already less expensive than the other and due to a sale it was further discounted. The other chair had more lower back support but quite frankly since I would be sitting upright anyway this was still more than adequate. The other one also had fold-up armrests that in retrospect would have made it easier to slide under the desk when done but I can always leave the arms off of this one to achieve the same utility (they attach from the side with two bolts each). The chair itself is very comfortable and the faux leather is actually quite nice with the feel of actual soft well prepared animal hide. The controls for adjusting the chair and locking it from rocking are easy to use and reasonably accessible. My biggest criticism is simply that it doesn't roll well over carpet (though others may find this a benefit). All in all I am very happy with this chair and even at its normal price it is a good value.
I am so glad I had the opportunity to try some of the many computer chairs they have on display there instead of a hit and miss online. This chair is very comfortable for me it has pretty good padding in the seat back and arms and it looks very nice with my computer hutch and it was moderately priced.
