It is not very soft and my cylinder leaks so I often have to raise back up.

I give this chair a 4 star rating because it does recline at all. Otherwise it is comfortable and fits nicely behind my desk.

We have a mixed review. One person loved the chair and thought the back support/shape was perfect; another person thought the bottom was like sitting on a rock.

Great looking super-easy to assemble the right price -- but best of all wonderfully comfortable. Firm seat and back easily controllable tilt and height. Love my new chair!
