The chair has very good support for the lower back and is very comfortable. I highly recommend this chair. This is from a person with a bad back for 50 years or so.

This chair seemed decent at first but within weeks it felt like the seat cushion flattened out and I was sitting on a hard board. Now it's 2 years later and the seat is so uncomfortable I am sore and have back and neck pain after sitting on it for a few hours. I am a petite person at 5"2' and this chair is too big for me which might be a reason why but the lack of seat cushioning is terrible. If you need a chair for light use this could work but if you need it for long hours spend more money and treat yourself to something more comfortable.
