Pretty easy to assemble. You could also watch a YouTube video before doing it. The only glitch is that the chair stuck and didn't move up or down. I almost wanted to return it. But sitting hard on it for a few times magically made the gas cylinder work.

I bought this chair for my office. It looks expensive and is vert comfortable to sit in for one month if that. I am now sitting on the metal that once was covered by the so called chair padding. If you are looking for a chair that looks nice this is a good buy. If you are looking for an everyday chair to actually use do not buy this chair.

After sitting in 20 different chairs in the store I went back to this one--my first pick! Comfortable roomy seat fully adjustable so I could set up just how I want. Cushiony yet sturdy enough and was easy to follow directions for putting it together myself. I would recommend it for sitting at a desk for long periods of time.
