The mounting screws did not go all the way in from the base to the chair and got stuck. They could be turned in place smoothly so it wasn't an issue of misalignment of the threads but we could not take them out and had to bring the partially assembled chair and box back for a return.

chair came with drill holes in seat in the wrong place. put chair together and everything is backward. called staples and they sent replacement that was for gaming chair. called again and they will send seat in black because they do not have brown in stock. will have to wait for months for right seat. should have shopped elsewhere.
