The armrest surface is hard. Resting my arms there for a couple of hours I get burns and tingling. The armrest material has wear and tear within a few months/Rest of the chair other than the armrest is a good investment.
I ordered the charcoal Gray Chair and received the red version. I honestly don't care enough to get it switched but the back does recline but it feels a little easy to recline in however.
The seating was ok but it tended to be narrow & I'm not a really large person. The real problem though was the lumbar support in the chair. It was too high & there was minimal adjustment to correct the problem. It was not comfortable against my back for any length of time.
