The chair "tilts" your seat and lifts your feet off the ground. It makes for an odd tilt to your spine. It is not ergonomically correct and it is very uncomfortable after about 1/2 hour of sitting in it.

Seat cushion is very firm. An older version of chair in office has softened into a more comfortable chair with time. This is the 4th chair of this model that we have purchased for the Office. I especially like the height of the cushion. I am 6 feet tall and have found that some chairs over time do not keep their height and they slowly collapse and it is like climbing out of a hole to simply stand up. On a side note the chair was damaged in shipment and Staples quickly in an overnight shipment replaced it.

This chair is too short for my husband and too tall for me. We had to remove the headrest all together since it is barely "adjustable".
