I’m not an ergonomics expert by any stretch but for the price of this chair I have zero complaints. It’s miles better than the old office chair I used to have (also from Staples) which was faux leather with foam padding versus a mesh. With this chair I don’t find myself slouching as much and I don’t feel like I have to prop my feet up to keep myself from sliding off. It also keeps me a bit cooler than one without any mesh or other ventilation. It would be nice if the armrests were slightly wider and the neck/head support could do down a little more but those are very minor things.
I am a pretty picky guy. I'm 6 feet tall and my body composition is lengthy. The good The materials appear to be sturdy and well made. I love the fact that the hight of arm rests are adjustable and the reclining positions can be locked at different angles as well! Since it's mesh throughout its construction the body doesn't get hot and it ventilates well. Not so good... The headrest is practically non-adjustable. It can change the angle a bit but that's about it. The back support is good but personally I like it to be more prominent. After long periods of time the mesh can be harsh on skin and I ended up placing a towel under my butt. Things to consider... If you're on a heavier set in your hips area you might need to look elsewhere because the seat is not very wide. Also if you're taller than 6 feet the headrest cannot go any higher and I find it ever so slightly below my comfort hight. Final thought In the end I'd buy this chair again. It's a good product and looks like it will serve well for a long time.
Chair was easy to put together. The screws were individually packaged by step which was great. I have been using it as my daily work chair for a week or 2 now and it is comfortable. The back support and head rest are perfectly positioned.
I have the same chair at work and since working from home my dining room chair was killing my back so I bought the chair a second time for home! I love it. Very comfortable chair for the money.
