First and foremost....I found this to align with highlights and lowlights in other reviews. If you're petite this might well be the most decent deal you'll find for a very respectable office chair. It competes with a far more expensive class of features and comforts - if you fit in it right. I've had serious neck and back problems and can't use just any old chair to work in at home. If you don't need/want a headrest you have cheaper options for a basic midback task chair...that's where the back on this will land on taller people. I'm 5'4" 130 lbs wear a ladies 6-8 US sizes. I do not have any issues with the front of the chair pressing in to the back of my legs. It's not touching and it's comfortable. Having been more full bodied in the past I'd estimate a US ladies size 12+ would be a no go in terms of the seat because the plastic side edges under the mesh seat could be under you and that would be very uncomfortable. My feet touch the floor flat on the lowest height setting. I have it a set a bit higher and use an adjustable angle footrest. If you're shorter legged than me a footrest would be an easy fix to be comfortable with the height. Lumbar hits perfect didn't change it from the setting it shipped with. I like being able to lean back and stretch my back from time to time...just the back piece moving is awesome in my book. The headrest is comfortable and the width of the armrests is perfect...not too far and not too close. Why not five stars? The mesh seat isn't as comfy as I'd hoped. It's not padded obvs so I can't really complain. I have a kinda bony butt where it meets the seat and I can feel the tension in the mesh under me it's not awful but it's not fabulous. A bit less give than in more spendy mesh chairs. It gets me to stand and stretch occasionally throughout the day though so it's ok in its own way. I'd prefer a softer armrest. I can fix that with adding aftermarket pads. I think it'll still be ok height wise after and I'm not stressed about the look. Last minor bummer is the wheelbase. The images looked like the gray chair would be partially gray and not silver over the whole thing but it's a trick of the light. It's the same cheap looking chrome color. I think the chrome on the armrest stems and the base look cheap and aesthetically it's my least favorite thing about the chair. Don't pay extra for a colored chair unless you actually want a different color mesh. Will it last forever and be passed along to my grandchildren? Not likely. Will it outlast the 5 year warranty period and buy me a while before I have to debate about investing $$$ in a really good chair again? Yup. At least I expect so. Especially for needing a new desk chair sight unseen in a pandemic I'd call this one a win.
Get this chair for your back’s sake — After watching YouTube reviews of this chair I decided to get it. I sat on Herman Miller for years at work and it wasn’t as comfortable to me. Lumbar support and it’s simple adjustable back angles are good. I’m not fussy about arms; so they’re fine. Took the head rest off; looks better anyways. Glad to have this budget ergonomic chair.
I looked for several days for a chair within this price range there are too many options…And there are many chairs too expensive or that were very basic … just assembled this one and used for a couple a days and I have to say I am very happy with it. Of course you can notice things to improve but come on at this price you can’t complain much.
I am 6'1" 215lbs and the chair just barely fits. Sure wouldn't want it any smaller as it feels a bit small. If you are of wider stature you may want a different chair. It feels fairly comfortable however I decide to use my old 2" memory foam seat pad as it just made it better for me. The adjustable arms are nice. I feel like I probably could have done better if I would have tried out different ones in the store rather than purchasing from website.
After teleworking from home for 7 months the old chair was just not cutting it. This was well rated. Had to ordered and have it shipped. The assembly instructions were easy to follow and it took me about 20 minutes to get it all set up.
Difficult to construct. Not as many adjustments as I wanted i.e. the head rest will not adjust backwards far enough to be comfortable. My feet don't touch the floor when My arms reach the keyboard/mouse. I have to use props under feet. I like that the arms are removable. Mesh is cool.
I looked at many options and this one seemed like the best in terms of breathability of the materials (bottom is mesh instead of pillow) and affordability. Only thing I would improve is the chair head which I think needs to offer more options for adjusting height and tilt. It seems to sit a little too low and pushes my head forward a bit.
