Relatively good value for the price. Not as robust has higher priced chairs but for 1/3 the cost it is a decent chair for an average-size person. Like most desk chairs you will need two people to assemble the seat to the arms in order to get enough leverage to hold it in place while the other person aligns and twists in the bolts. The less cushioned seat is designed for a woman or lighter man.
I wanted to get the exact same chair that I bought from staples 2 years ago. I matched up the name and numbers and received a chair different from my previous one. It looks close but it is not the same. This chair is not comfortable at all. Barely any padding in the seat for comfort. Now I am stuck with this horrible chair. Do not buy.
I bought this chair for office/desk setup. It is comfortable and height adjustable. The back is fixed and is attached to the arms not the seat. This means that you cannot remove the arms and the back angle is fixed. (removing the arms could be desirable for wider people narrow desk opening or musicians that need instrument clearance like guitar or banjo.) I took off one star due to the arm design. Assembly was easy hardware was well organized just be careful to select the correct arm for each side and to orient it properly or you will have to rework. The last two screws that are used to support the back are not shown in the assembly instructions but they go in the upper rear holes in the arms and are provided in the hardware pack so rather obvious.
I recently moved and my Lazy Boy office chair (also purchased at Staples and I also love) was stuck in storage and I needed a quick solution for work at home days so I picked this up because it seemed to offer the best quality for price. I have to say I’m so impressed with it that I will probably just keep using it as my everyday work at home office chair. My wife and I fight over who gets this versus the Lazy Boy that is now out of storage.
It’s an ok chair but definitely not worth the money. There’s barely any padding on the seat and you sink straight to the hard bottom...and I’m only 160lbs! Would not recommend if you’ll be sitting in this for more than an hour per day. It looks nice though. Wish I could exchange for something that’s bearable to sit in for more than a couple hours since I work from home. Oh well....lesson learned.
