seems to work fine. I like it. We are actually using it in a sound room at our church to sit at during the worship hour. Other times we are on our feet. Would like it to lean back a bit further but those are some features that come in the higher end chairs and we are only in it a couple hours a week. This was a better option than trying to find a used one in good condition. Either the covers are starting to split or the shock absorber/adjuster is shot. That's why I made the choice of this one.

One of the easiest chairs to assemble. The chair is very comfortable for long days in front of the computer. The customer service was above reproach far greater than I have received at other stores.
