The padding is fine and the chair is comfortable. The wheels roll smoothly. My only complaint is that it doesn't lean back without a lot of weight or pressure. With the tilt lock in the unlock position and the tension knob uncrewed all the way it still takes more pressure/weight to tilt back than previous office chairs I have owned.
