I have tried everything and can not get the chair to stay UP in the highest height position. Chair looks great so am keeping. Going to drill a hole thru the metal tube and put a cotter pin thru to keep it up in the highest height. Easy to assemble just takes a bit of time. To much hassle to return it for another.

After assembling the chair I discovered the gas lift mechanism is defective. When I sit on the chair it lowers by 1-2 inches. Otherwise the chair is pretty nice. Will be returning it.
