I'm 62 and my wife is 52. We both have pretty bad backs. I bought this chair first...immediately I knew this was perfect...and so did my wife so I raced out to get her the chair as well. The arms of the chair are not necessary to the chair's construction so I didn't attach them at all. I use this chair at my desk for week and when I am practicing guitar. I find it incredible comfortable and supportive....No strain no pain. Absolutely the best chair I ever bought. At this price it's a BARGAIN for sure.

hydraulics started to fail after only few months

Bought in January and by May the seat would begin to sink sporadically. By August is now fails constantly and yes I am under the 275# limit it says it handles. Absolute junk.

The chair was VERY well packaged. Directions were easy to understand. Seems to be well built and comfortable. Got mine in blue. I can't stand black and white didn't go with my office. Is it as good as Herman Miller? Probably not but for $900 is is GREAT.
