The faux leather on the arms of the office chair we bought 25 years ago had become so unsightly that my wife wanted it replaced. She found this one at Staples. I myself had been using an armless task chair that I bought back in 2013 to use at my desktop computer. I found her new chair to be more comfortable better for my posture and (frankly) safer than mine so I bought another one to replace the task chair. We paid the $15 each to have Staples assemble both of them. (One of the chairs needed an adjustment to one of the arms after we got it home.) We also took out the 3-year protection plan on both of them; and given some of the reviews I just read I believe it was a good idea. As Delbert McClinton sang "Nothin' Last Forever".

I got this chair late last year and should have returned it a week later. From the get-go it was creaky and somewhat unstable but it was more comfortable than my last chair so I dealt with it. Now the connecting bolt has snapped in one of the arms so I can't lean back at all without nearly falling out of the chair. Don't waste your money
