We wanted to replace our rolling desk chair with something more stable so my husband who has Parkinsons can get in and out without it rolling out from beneath him and also can count on the arms for stability. You would think it an easy thing to find a decent office chair that doesn’t roll - but it is NOT. Its beautiful super easy to assemble and looks classy!

The shape of the chair is fine that it keeps your spine in a nice alignment. The low back is supported okay. The seat however is lame. The cushion flattens out when you sit in it and feels like a park bench.. Now I don't have much cushion to my butt either but there should be more padding in the seat. Maybe a firmer padding so it doesn't just collapse under weight. I'm 6 foot and 190 lbs. By no means should I be sitting on a hard seat. RUSSELL

bought two - have elderly friends who need a chair that is easy to get in and out of ..plus -thanks to padded arm rests and padded back and seat..very comfortable and can be used with or without out an ottoman . Works for me as it is sturdy and heavy enough to stay in place so it won't accidentally tip over. I have bad balance and it is very difficult to find all this in a chair that does not roll! My suggestion for makers of this model..come up with a matching ottoman that is of same quality and doesn't roll around and I'll buy 2!! My friends couldn't believe I found this at Staples!I had already tried major furniture stores and couldn't find a recliner that matched my needs I would surely recommend it !
