I really like this chair. The cushion is very comfortable. It's lightweight and easy to move around on carpeting. The only drawback for me is that the arms don't adjust. They are only one height. That means for the arms to clear my desk surface I actually have to lower the seat a bit. That's not a huge problem for me I'm short and it's great for my legs but then of course I'm not exactly at the right height to work at my desk. Overall I'm happy with it.
...BUT I did not realize this chair is missing one adjustment that our old one had. The back is locked in place and can not be moved out. It is quite comfortable for me but my husband would prefer the back further from the seat. Because of this I rated it as 4 stars instead of 5.
Many chairs have the minimum height that is still too high for proper posture. This chair has a minimum sitting height of 16 inches as measured between the floor and the top surface at the outter edge where upper legs rest.
My husband has a bad back and has been using a chair that was purchased at Staples in the past that was not working or him. He was using a pillow on the seat and on the back. This was not good I suggested we go look for a chair without all the padding and something that would be more supportive of his back. This chair although not an expensive one was the most comfortable. We purchased it and so far he is happy
