Excellent Belgian-style waffle maker!

I bought this waffle maker (my first) a few weeks ago and have made 3 belgian waffles with it. So far it has been excellent. The waffles cook in about 4 minutes (I use 4 minutes and 30 seconds on the timer) and they come out great, meaning they're very uniform in thickness and doneness across each side and on both sides. Clean-up is almost not needed. I just unplug the waffle maker, moisten a double thickness of paper towel with water, place it in the center of the waffle maker and close the lid and let it sit for 5 minutes. The residual heat steam cleans the grates without any need for cleaning beyond that. After 5 minutes I open the lid, toss the paper towel, inspect closely for any remaining bits (there haven't been any so far) and let it cool completely before putting it away. Don't use cooking sprays or oils on the ceramic grates--there's no need since the oil you put in the batter will be enough to make the waffle come out completely clean. The vertical storage and the cord tuck-away in the body of the waffle maker is a nice touch of convenience. Great job, Presto!

Quality seems good and pockets are very deep to soak up that syrup. The suggested cooking times are too long for the basic recipe I used. Pretty much 2 minutes is all you need for a fully cooked waffle. Also, there are better waffle recipes out there compared to what is included in the manual.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your review. Many recipes work well with the waffle maker. Ours is simply a suggested recipe. Times can vary as well, depending on ingredients. Have fun with different recipes and enjoy your waffles!

great waffles everytime!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we love this! the only real “problem” we had is the cord doesn’t like to go back in so it’s not a super easy thing to put in. if there was a retractor it might help? otherwise we love this, cooks well, and the timer is loud enough but not too loud!

Versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So versatile we use this for more than just waffles. We do make sure to only use rubber utensils when grabbing our food to avoid scratches. But you can make a lot for different things in this waffle maker

Great waffle iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t made waffles in forever. This one reminded me of the ones you see at the hotel breakfast rooms. I used a box waffle mix and made 3 waffles. The waffles come out big and crispy. It was easy to clean and the waffles didn’t stick. No oil needed. I would definitely use this again!

The fact it can stand up and fit in small areas is great , it has a spot for the cord to be put in for storage space !!! Temperature control on it is easy to use this is a must have !!!
