Overall, super fun to build! Each time I finished a section such as the engine, the suspension systems, the steering system, I felt tremendous joy seeing it come together. Very rewarding and amazed at the engineering that goes into designing this set, let alone thinking about the engineering required to build a mechanical marvel that is an F1 car. Disparities: many pieces were tough to get into the slots, leaving me slightly frustrated at times. My thumbs are sore the next day from forcing pieces in. The book was thick and in the middle of the build, it was difficult to see some instructions near the binding/fold. Lastly, it was difficult to get the steering system to line up perfectly with the steering wheel. i.e. with the wheels completely straight, I still cannot get the steering wheel to line up straight. Highly recommend! I wish it was more pieces to be honest, but I developed a desire to buy more of their full sized technic F1 builds.

LEGO, Please revise rear tires to the correct width on Icons and Technics F1 models and provide them for customer retrofit. You’ve paid for the licensing and we, the consumer deserve the most accurate LEGO model possible.
The finished product looks really good but the build lacked quality. Many of the pieces were too big and it was a fairly boring build. The front wing by far was the best part but surprised by the finished product. It doesnt even roll.
This is not going to be a review, but a word of warning to Lego builders of a certain age who, like me, do not work well with stickers. There are 51 of them in this kit; some very small and some very large.
Looks like a great product and the reviews are very positive. I have built over 70 Legos over the past fifteen years, everything from the Coliseum to the Eifel Tower, but these race cars are not for me. I wish Lego would indicate the number of stickers in the product description.
Car is awsome! Would have been great if lego would have included the bonus lego for the pre orders not just the ones who ordered after release day.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this build because I got it on sale. I don't think I'd do it again though. I have a few issues with this build: 1. Like so many others mention, why the heck can't these sets get a decent tire? Why do the speed champions builds that cost 10% of this one get appropirately sized rear tires? 2. The DRS function is sad. It barely opens. I thought I had done something wrong because it has such limited movement. 3. The front suspension also has limited movement. Its half, maybe less, of the movement of the rear suspension. 4. Soooo many stickers! Why aren't more of these pieces printed at this price point? And to make it worse, I had a sticker sheet that was not properly aligned so one side has graphics that aren't in line with the other. 5. The rear of the airbox looks great from the side and terrible from the rear. Its just 3 flat pieces so its completely open in the rear and is featureless.
I only got this set because I'm a Max fan, otherwise I wouldn't have. Now that I've built it I'm not convinced it was worth getting. It was cool to see some of the features but others are disappointments.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
